WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased roundtrip tickets from San Antonio to Houston for a court date, court was reset for the following day so I contacted Megabus to change my ticket and was told I couldn't because they have a 3hr cut-off before bus departure...which I literally missed by FIVE minutes because the first customer service agent hung up on my face. They then refused a refund and the supervisor I spoke to hung up on me THREE times! Then since I was stranded down there I was planning on staying inside the building, however the night worker left and locked the building up at 9pm, 3 hrs earlier then he was supposed to. Then when I was FINALLY able to catch the bus back, the bus was late and then we had to wait another hr for the mechanic to come, we left Houston at 7pm instead of 5:40 like scheduled. The bus driver was swerving the ENTIRE time, by the time we got into San Antonio it was 11:45pm, over 2 hrs later! This was BY FAR the WORST experience I have EVER had!!!!! Megabus won't be getting ANYMORE of my money EVER again!!!!!!!

The bus is late by 3 hours and counting, with no service alerts posted on their site!

The company never tried to resolve the issue. They never called, emailed, apologized or otherwise acknowledged that there was an issue. I was just grateful that my child arrived in one piece, at about 3:30am.

On the Chicago to Atlanta route leaving Chicago at 8:50 in the morning and supposedly arriving in Atlanta at 11:53 p.m. . The bus was late by an hour in the morning and now it is currently 10 minutes to 3 a.m. and it still hasn't arrived in Atlanta. Meanwhile, I'm am waiting for my son, who is on this bus and has no idea where they are because the bus driver is not calling out locations as she goes by them and she hasn't given an update on the ETA to the passengers! Customer service cannot be reached so I'm just stuck in dowtown Atlanta waiting!!What kind of sloppy *** is this?

Customer service

Poor customer service. No body knew where my bus was located. I’ve waited at the station for 6 hours. My ticket has been paid but my bus never arrived.

Insane turn around mid trip - added over an hour to trip.

After stopping at a rest stop, the bus driver waited an extra 5min to ensure all passengers were on board. After setting off and driving for over 30min, we were hailed by a policeman who ordered the bus driver to turn around and drive back to the rest stop to pick up 2 people who had been left behind (despite clear instructions and extra time given...) The poor bus driver had no choice, and so turned around to return and added over 2 hours to our trip (once we got to the rest stop, the lady wouldn't get on the bus because everyone looked angry...). Almost 50 other passengers were on board the bus and so were all inconvenienced. I called megabus support to ask why this was happening and to get a refund on my tickets (my family had a booking in Houston that we would now be late for), and I was put on hold then disconnected, then after calling back and asking to speak to a supervisor I was denied any information about what was going on, being told that was 'internal details' that she couldn't discuss with passengers and that if I was unhappy I should write them an email. When I asked for a reference number for the call to put in my complaint email, she hung up on me. Pretty great service.... I'll see

Obnoxious and rude customer service rep

I will like to express my discontent about a Mega Bus customer service rep who was very rude to me about an hour ago. I just wanted to know if I could purchase my 2 tickets from him. All he kept talking about was the $7.00 I had to pay. I wanted to know if I had to pay $7.00 twice, but He insisted on the $7.00. Then he tried to rush me off the phone by repeating "anything else I can helping you with". I had to hang up because I couldn't speak another word, he just wanted me off the phone. I am a customer of MegaBus and I used their service many times before. This time my computer wouldn't allow me to purchase the tickets due to an expired software. Finally, though I was very upset, I decided to call again using another tel number for Megabus a 908 number and I landed on a very nice young lady who helped me by explaining everyting. This rude Young man, I can only describe him by his heavy Spanish accent and spoke English very well. He was just so rude and literrally obnoxious. Glad I called back. Thank you M. Samuel

Driver Way Too Chatty

Every time the driver picked up the mic he carried on speaking for 10-20 minutes. It was an overnight bus and he did this every time the bus made a stop, and he’d put on music when the bus was waiting at the stop, as well. Out of an 8 hour bus ride I only managed to sleep for 2 because of all the interruptions!

Trying to get ahold of help!

They don’t answer the phone or any other way of contact them.. And they keep charging for changing reservation that it’s was much better for me to just skip the trip instead of them keep charging me for changing trip fee... That’s not fair cause they don’t have any expenses for changing reservation if it more than 24 hrs ahead of departure time..

At a loss

Yesterday at the Megabus station in Atlanta, my mother in law and 3 step kids were traveling to Chicago. Per Megabus customer service they suggested I make the 6 hour ride to Atlanta to catch the bus We pull up to the address on our tickets only to find that it is for a church and not the Megabus station. Panicing since the bus leaves in 15 min we get in the car and race to the correct bus station. I was relieved to see the bus still at the station since it was 3:11 and the bus is scheduled to leave at 3:10. They run to the bus to a closed door where we knock to be let on and the bus driver waves good bye to them and pulls off. I could not believe it!!! Not only will they not honor the fact the address was not correct but the fact that the bus driver waved to us as she pulled off from being parked at the station!!!

Megabus is a joke I have spent so much money with them, my bags where stolen wasn't paid for items stolen value of $1050.00 bucks also I bought a ticket for March 13 for my daughter to come to Dallas for an audition for Tyler Perry show, got the dates wrong had to pay extra money to have it changed as the date that were put in the system by the customer service person, I called them back to have them to change it to the correct date they said I had to pay them again. you talking about a mad woman. I will not ever us MEGABUS ever in my life, nor any of my family members I rather pay to ride greyhound or another bus company

Horrible Service and Management

RESERVED ticket with Megabus, Coach bus arrived with no notice of MegaBus- as I was calling megabus coach bus pulled off, my daughter end of missing bus, called and talked to Supervisor Miguel and because my conversation wasn't about purchasing another ticket, he said he needed to help other customers and HUNG UP. My daughter was headed to Chicago for dress fitting for Senior Prom- $45 down the drain. Miguel better be lucky I cant locate him, that's the rudest customer service ever. I am a supervisor and just because someone asks a question you don't like don't mean you hang up. I could see if I was being rude or belligerent

TERRIBLE customer service!

Don't expect anything at all!!!! They don't care about you! Got my teenage daughter there at 5:55 for the SF departure. Never came. People going to SF were freaking out as they were expected to work. Never got notice it was late until 6:53. She was so cold and saw others leaving, totally sketchy there at light rail- so she went home and then was told another one was coming. She was too tired at that point and couldn't get there in time. So, she called to get a refund or rebook and they told her to call back as they couldn't do it until the bus arrived in SF. I called and the woman with a thick accent kept putting me back and forth on hold and then said that they weren't responsible for traffic, weather or mechanical. But, do you think that notice would be nice????? There she was with a group of adults and no one could figure out what was going on. I asked to speak to a supervisor and said I'd blast them on social media for not giving me a refund and their lack of customer service, but she didn't care whatsoever and for the $33 they could have refunded us- it was worth it to them and I guess they don't care about all of the bad karma they've created for themselves. I'd be worried to send anyone new to the area, young, old or foreign on this Megabus if they don't really know how to navigate as a high functioning adult here. These days, I'm so used to people giving good service and really teaching their employees to "do what is right". I don't think this is a US owned company and they need to teach their employees to think it through a little bit. How can a notice 53 minutes later be ok? I get multiple notices from airlines these days if they are even a minute late, but they think it's ok to operate some third world cut-rate outfit. Here I was worried about her making the transfers with Amtrak and Bart where her safety was at risk as I had relied that it would be on time given it was the first bus in the morning.
