Megabus - Review about Customer Service from Cleveland, Ohio

Been sitting at the bus stop in Cleveland now for more than 4 hours. Every time I tried to ask the customer service after 10-20 mins hold, was told the bus will be there in half an hour. Was told the same story 5 times. Bus was suppose to leave for Chicago at 6:15pm and its 10:32 pm and no sign of any bus. Under no circumstances would I recommend megabus to anyone and will walk down the interstate than booking another ticket with them. Pathetic!

Megabus in Durham, North Carolina - Driver

Atlanta to durham leave 1030 am 17 June not one but two 3 point turns on a 4 lane highway With only 8ft center Not having 110 electric I ask the driver to put on At that time I seen him texting or dialing his phone . And after a few to many turns near durham we were lost A passenger told him how to get there !! Ask other passengers the worse driving I have ever seen He should not dive and put lives in danger He also Stop 3times without telling us why And turn of engine and Air conditioning.

Megabus - Several hours delay - v. disappointed

I took a 5:42 bus from NYC to Providence on Friday, June 6th, and it was scheduled to arrive in Providence at 10pm. We did not arrive until 12:30 AM. This was not due to traffic, but rather because one of your driver's had reached the "legal limit" of driving. Thus, we were in New Haven from approximately 8:45 PM to 11:15 PM, waiting for a new driver that was promised to come at 9:15 PM. We received TWO updates during this time from the driver. One just before 9pm explaining the situation, and another saying that it was going to be "just one more minute" (which ended up being close to an hour in actuality). Had the driver been more transparent about the situation (i.e., a simple, "I lied, this is going to take 2.5 hours"), it honestly would have been quicker to have our family pick us up in New Haven. Instead, we were all sitting in silence, waiting for some sort of progress report. The driver was hardly apologetic and blatantly ignored customers who were asking for updates. I'll also mention that we were on DATTCO bus (that arrived late), exactly why were we not on one of the Megabuses that were lined up on 34th street? I think it's more than fair to offer a refund (two tickets, $47.50) for this experience. I was looking at terms and conditions, which states the following: Limitation of Liability/Claims Unless caused in whole or in part by its own negligence that of its employees, megabus shall not be liable for loss, damage or delay caused by: (1) The act or default by the passenger; . (2) The nature of the property or defect therein. (3) An act of God, public enemies, authority of the law, quarantine, perils or navigation, riots, strikes, or the hazards or dangers incidents to a state of war. (4) Accidents, breakdowns, bad conditions of roads or other causes beyond the carriers’ control. Any claim against megabus for loss, damage or delay must be filed with Megabus within 60 days of the discovery of the loss or damage on which the claim is based. You'll notice that it was not the passengers, weather, authorities, etc. that caused this delay. This was entirely preventable (despite what the customer service rep said) had Megabus realized that they couldn't possibly have the same driver work for an extended amount of time. It's simply called planning ahead.

Megabus Bus Service Review

On two differet occasions I booked a sleeper bus and on both return journeys have been told the bus had broken down so had to sit all the way from London to Edinburgh. This meant I was awake almost the whole journey and had to go back to work the next day.

Megabus in Annapolis, Maryland - The Bus Broke down on May 23, 2014

I had to wait over 2 hours for another bus to pick us up causing me to miss my ride on the other end. I was told by megabus company employee that i would be automatically refunded for that day because it was over 2 hours that we had to wait for another bus and that it takes 7 to 14 day to receive it. My email address is centincontrol06@aol.com. The bus was taking me from Washington DC to Morgantown West Virginia. I have been a faithful customer with megabus ever since my daughter started going to college at Morgantown West Virginia and I was please with them and over look the one other time that the bus broke down and i had to wait a hour and a half because that was the first time that happen to me. But over to hour in the heat is not acceptable especially when you have to kick out unexpected money at the other end because you miss you r transpartation. I hope that Megabus will honor their policy like we honor their policy and rules on our end.
