2 Weeks Later, Still Waiting for a Response.

I purchased a ticket with Megabus to leave from NYC to Toronto for the night of May 14th. My aunt fell ill and I stayed with her as she & I are the only ones at home. Thinking she'd recover faster than expected, I purchased an 11:59PM ticket. Realizing that it was a 24 hour flu, I decided to stay home with her and miss the second bus. I'd rather stay with her than leave and have a worse case scenario on my hands. The next day I called Megabus' customer service to explain what happened and request a refund. I was advised to email inquiries(at)megabus(dot)com, which I did. After receiving the automated email I waited to receive a response. After about a week I called customer service again and was advised to send a second email, adding more information. The third phone call after not seeing a response had me stupefied when I was made aware that they can call customers. Leaving my number with the third customer service representative, I felt better under the guise that they do care about their customers. I'm still waiting for their phone call. I called again today & I was told that I can't do anything else but wait for Inquiries to get back to me. Or I can email them again. C'mon son. I can understand if I took the trip & wanted a refund for a *** reason. But I didn't leave. Again, I did. Not. Leave. I do not understand why I have to go through the ringer just to get MY money back, this is entirely too frustrating. Stay far, far away from Megabus. I don't care if they're offering free bus tickets with all the cake your heart desires.

Bus didnt arrive

To whom this may concern,This was my first time ever riding the bus and I heard about megabus from friends.I purchased two journey one departing Houston to Austin and one from Austin going back to Houston.The bus was suppose to depart at 9:25 am and I arrived at the station at 8:40 am. The bus never arrived and I waited there with other passengers til 11 pm outside a gas station.I call several times to track the bus and complain but just was told to wait. At 11 pm I was told the bus left at 8:52 am and there was no way the bus was there cause there were passengers who were there earlier waiting. I waited for 2 hr for a bus that didn't arrive and for customer service to tell me the ticket is non refundable and pay for a later trip. I'm not going to ever travel with them again.

For the past 2yrs I have used Megabus to travel from Charlotte, NC to Durham, NC, which is only a few hours ride, however it's not the ride I have a problem with it's the Customer Service, lack of effective communication between the traveler and Megabus. I took a trip to Houston from Charlotte recently, and found that 1.

Megabus fails to put all the information on their websites, something as important as transfer stops. Well after PAYING for the ticket I find that I had to transfer in Memphis, TN, which wasn't a problem, however that did turn into a major problem. The bus came late and I was notified, but via email. Not only was the bus late, I had to pay additional fees just to get back on the bus in Memphis to take me to Dallas.

I am a bit upset because Megabus will not acknowledge the fact that I paid for a ticket that was already paid for. Because of this mix-up what the drive did is charge a passenger for them being late, and for taking a bus that they say was not the one that was late. Find it odd and suspicious if you ask me, but no one wants to give a refund or try to rectify the situation.

I am sad to say I have seen the quality of services with Megabus slump tremendously and whomever is the CEO of this company should be penalized to the fullest extent of the law for poor customer service, communication with travelling passengers, and for drivers taking monies from customers with tickets that are already paid for. MEGABUS IS COMPANY THAT IS GETTING RICH OFF THE PULIC, AND THE PUBLIC IS WHAT'S MAKING THIS BUSINESS....SHAME ON MEGABUS!!!!!!!!!

Bad customer service

A couple of months ago I had the misfortune to travel with Megabus. The bus I was supposed to travel with was 4 hours late. I complained and received a free round trip from Megabus. Yay, right? Wrong! To claim it, I had to call a special number, because the regular customer service could not schedule the trip for me, and I also could not do that online. The problem was, that I tried calling several times, and waited on the line for over a very long each time (even over 20 mibuites)! When I finally was lucky enough for someone to answer my call, they were rude and unhelpful. They did not have my information in front of them, they asked me all sorts of ridiculous questions such as why I had received the free trip, etc. On top of everything they hung up on me before I could complete the order. This is adding insult to injury. Megabus are unprofessional, unreliable, and their customer service representatives are extremely rude!

Kicked to the curb

To whom it may concern I am seeking a refund because I was charged an extra 43 dollars.This past Saturday, March 23, 2013 I arrived at the bus station in Charlotte, NC at a reasonable time to catch my 7:30 am bus but without any knowledge the bus arrived at 8:30 am. I began to call several customer service employees and supervisor explaining that my bus in Atlanta, GA that is schedule for 12 will be gone, what am I suppose to do? I was then told that there's nothing they can do, they told me I needed to buy another $43 ticket for the 2 o'clock because the 12 doesn't exist anymore. How was I suppose to know that a couple months ago?

No Air Condition

I am making a complaint with the Mega bus because on June 21, 2013 I was on the Megabus along with friends and family. It was the first day of summer and the air condition on the bus was not working.

I was taking a short trip to Chicago and the whole trip felt like a sauna on the bus. I really didnt appreciate riding five hours on the bus with no air condition. The bus driver kept apologizing but it didnt help because it was too hot to be without air.

Everyone on the bus was very aggitated and hot. What I would like is a refund for my inconvenience.

On Sun, Jun 9 2013 I was on a megabus from Philadelphia to Washington, DC with NO AIR CONDITIONING!! This bus was full to capacity and over 90 degrees, there was no available WiFi and non working outlets.

We were told that a replacement bus would be provided in DC for those travelling further. I emailed Megabus and am now being refunded for my ticket for that horrible, horrible experience.

Megabus - Late, Rude, Took My Money

The bus was 2 hours late as we sat on the sidewalk in the sun. The heat on the bus was blowing on a 70 degree day. When we asked to turn off the heat, the driver yelled at us and his dispatcher over the radio, threatening to turn the bus around. And to top it off, when I went to cancel another trip with them the customer service reps said if I don't have a new set date to rebook, I'd lose my money ($98) because they don't keep a customer's monetary credit. I'll never travel them again. I'd rather pay double to a company that respects me as a consumer and understands that my patronage pays their wages.

In the middle of a muddy field

Megabus - In the middle of a muddy field
Thinking I was all hip and stuff, I booked a trip to Atlanta from Nashville on Megabus. Got out to the Nolensville Rd Megabus stop -- nothing there but a field. It was cold, and the field was muddy. My ride tried to park next to the field, so we could keep warm in the car, and next thing we know, cops are tapping on the window, telling us to move, that it was private property. Everybody was freaking freezing! Nowhere to even sit, and not even a porta-potty in sight. Then the Megabus was an hour and a half late! ooooweeee WHAT'S UP WITH THAT????

megabus's prior stop location was convenient for the public, but they were directed to relocated. Maybe if we, the tax payers, contact our City officials and request to have them relocate back to a good location for the residents of Nashville, they'll be moved back to a good location.

Horrible Customer Service

I have never experienced such poor customer service. I needed help finding a reservation confirmation and I got the rep from ***. After waiting 20+ min to speak with someone I finally got the wicked witch. As I'm trying to explain my issue to her, she keeps cutting me off to ask for info that I don't have. I was trying to explain that she would need to search via my CC# but she's not listening. Finally we search via my CC and she sees the reservation that I've already confirmed. Good stuff Sherlock, but I need my boyfriend's confirmation info. After she finally finds it, she starts lecturing about how I need to be more careful about my inputs and then proceeds to send my reservation to another wrong account. I ask her to read it back and its wrong so she has to send it again. Listening is so very helpful. Anyway, super annoyed and I probably won't use this company again simply for the *** customer service. Absolutely ridiculous.

Luggage loss investigation

My luggage was lost in Megabus and I wrote to report. Only the first time was responded by Jasmine and all responses were from auto-reply. 10 days passed but nobody and no contact reached to me. I called many times to megabus but the representatives directed me to a number that is "no service". I wonder how to contact Megabus for loss and found. From Megabus website, there is clearly text about luggage lost i.e. contact, investigation and compensation. I wonder if the promise from Megabus accountable or just as words, instead of action. If so, please let me know not to expect for it.

My son also lost his suitacase on a Baltimore, Boston trip last year. Megabus is unhelpful and do not care at all!

Broken down all night

I bought tickets from megabus for a 10 1/2 hour trip from Chicago to KC so that I could surprise my parents for my mother's birthday. The bus left Chicago at 12pm on schedule and everything seemed good until we stopped 2 1/2 hours later at a truck stop in a tiny town outside Bloomington, IL. While the bus was stopped for 20 minutes, it apparently experienced some kind of problem, as when the 3am time for departure came it didn't move. 15 minutes later the bus driver told us there was a problem and a mechanic was on the way. At around 3:45am we were told to disembark so that they could jack up the bus and unfreeze a valve and we'd be back on the road in no time. The entire busload of people waited around in the truck stop for 2 hours with no word at all. People started asking the drivers what was going on and when we'd be back on the road. The drivers refused to answer questions and instead both went out and got on the bus (we were told we couldn't be on), closed the door, and turned out all the lights. 3 more hours passed with absolutely no information as to what was going on and when any of us could expect to go somewhere. We tried to call the customer service line and were just told that they were still working on getting parts that they had to drive out all they way from Chicago (keep in mind by this time they could have sent us a whole new bus, got us to St Louis, and had us on the way to KC). After we had been waiting for 5 hours we were told to all get back on the bus. Once we were loaded on we were told that they couldn't fix the bus (took 5 hours to determine that?) and that another bus was on the way with no solid ETA. Another 2 1/2 hours passed before that other bus showed up, and IT WAS AN ALREADY OCCUPIED BUS! They didn't even send us a new bus, they just waited until the next scheduled one passed through the area with the intention of cramming everybody from our bus onto it. At that point I called it quits. I only had around 36 hours or so to spend in KC from the start, and by this point I was 7 1/2 hours behind. I called up my wife in Chicago and my mother in law drove out to get me. This trip, or attempted trip, was made absolutely awful by Megabus. I cannot believe that they would leave us stranded for 7 1/2 hours and not even have the decency to send us a new bus. Instead they crammed everyone onto an already almost full bus for a trip with around 8 hours left in it. I don't know that I'll ever be able to bring myself to use their service again. Great prices, but is it worth this kind of treatment? I will say they refunded my trip, but still...awful

Never again

My bus was due to leave Chicago at 11:30 but the bus didn't arrive until 12:50 Then the bus driver and his help spent 30 minutes arguing with a disabled woman who was clearly in the wrong. The bus finally pulled off at 1:20 only to drive 15 miles and turn around. The driver went the wrong way and we had to go back. He then stated he was upset and having a bad day that he should have called off because he can't concentrate. Now I'm on the bus scared he will crash because he is upset and driving. I was due to arrive in champaign by 2pm but he cant even give me a ETA his response was we a hour and a half late. I am a very dissatisfied customer and don't plan on riding with megabus ever again.I am too late to attend my meeting so my trip home and here is a waste.

ONE MONTH No ANSWERS/ Mega bus

Don't ever take maga bus anywhere! Don't bother calling them, don't bother emailing them.. NO ONE CARES! NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING THERE.. THEY ARE RUDE!!!! Short story, I been trying to get my refund for three months. IT WAS THEIR FAULT FOR CANCELING THE TRIP DUE TO A MISTAKE IN THIER EMAIL SYSTEM....THEY TOOK MY MONEY WHICH WERE TWO ROUND TRIP TICKETS. THEY ROBBED ME OUT OF MY MONEY. IM GOING TO REPORT THIS TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT EVEN RESPONSE TO MY EMAILS OR CALLS. WORST COMPANY WITH A LACK OF COMMUNICATION,LACK OF TRAINING, LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE,AND LACK OF COMPASSION FOR CUSTOMERS.

Lost tickets

This is my first time using this bus service for my son I purchased 2 tickets within 24 hours and wasted 62.00 total and was told there was nothing that can be done I think that is so unfair I didn't ask for money back I ask can he get on another bus and was told by a supervisor no I will like at least one of these transaction return on my credit card my son never made the trip and I just paid for 2 tickets that were not used ... Ur system should be made to satisfied the customers I work for a company and there are ways of taking care of the customer..I will like someone to please handle this situation ...res no 37-3068-****13..

MEGA Bus Security left me STRANDED, told me to find other means of transportation

I routinely travel from Baltimore to New York to visit my sister on Mega Bus. My last experience is spine chilling. I arrived 5 minutes early for my return bus home in NYC and was rudely yelled at by a man who said I did not check in on time. He then told me my seat was SOLD to people in stand - by even though i had my confirmation in hand and the bus was in front of me. He allowed 2 standby people to board in front of me.

I told him he was ridiculous, he then told me I had no respect. He would not allow me to board any more of the 5 busses going to Baltimore that evening (this was 8:30) p.m. He said I was not to board any of his MEGA BUSSES as he yelled at me. I was stranded in NYC on the street corner in the cold rain on a dark street. Forced to purchase a last minute expensive train ticket to get home and taunted by some Mega Bus so called 'SECURITY OFFICER".

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION, UNSAFE! The workers DO NOT CARE for your personal saftey.

Replacement

On the day that I was supposed to ride the megabus I became ill with a migraine headache and could not travel. I called megabus and the clerk told me I was in the 24 hour period. Another rep told me to send an email. I sent an email to inquiries@***.com as instructed by the rep. According to megabus they would answer my complaint in 5 days it has been over a month and I have not gotten a response. I dont understand how a big company can take money from a 65 year old senior citzen like me and do not give me a replacement ticket to go see my grandchildren. I have ridden the mb bus many times. This kind of treatment gets them bad publicity.
