Columbus,oh. megabus driver did not let me get on the bus.

I went to High st and Nation BLVD where mega bus always leaves from, but it has changed to E spring st and 4th ave. I went to the other stop where the bus was leaving, but the I got there when the bus was leaving from the bus stop. The driver did not let me get onto the bus and he left me there. I am not planning to go anymore. I don't want to schedule to leave another day. I am not going to travel for another couple of weeks. I would like to get my money back.

My seat and the bags

It was my first time travel in megabus and first they destroy my luggage it was a brand new one and it got scratched everywhere and in my way back I was in my seat and I get wet cuz the top of my seat was cover in water by the time the switch my seat I was wet and could for me 8 hours trip and then I couldn't be next to the person I was traveling not a good experience for me I travel a lot with greyhound and I never have any troubles with them thank you for your time Erica skinnynena@***.com

Megabus disaster!

I purchased a ticket for my daughter to return to Indianapolis from Chicago. Her bus was scheduled to leave on Saturday, January 5, 2014 at 6pm. I called megabus early to make sure the bus was still scheduled to depart on time. The service rep stated it was still leaving on time and if there was a delay or cancellation, I would receive a call and/or an email per the information I used when I scheduled her ticket. She got there early with her grandpa to make sure she was able to get a good seat and not miss her bus. Approximately 7:30 pm, I receive a call from my daughter stating that the bus had not arrived. I had not received an email or a call (as specified by not only the site but the service rep who answered my call earlier when I inquired about the bus leaving on time). I was furious! I called Megabus and let the poor little service rep have it! I did apologize to the service rep who answered my call because I had to realize, this was not her doing. Fortunately my dad was still waiting with my daughter and took her back to the house. My ticket was refunded but I was/am still furious about the process and lack of professional courtesy. Why stipulate policies that are supposedly in place if you are NOT adhering to them??? Let us fast forward to today, January 9, 2014. My daughter scheduled her ticket for today, departing from Chicago to Indianapolis at 6pm. Guess what?!?!?! Received a call from my daughter at 6:45pm. She is still on the bus and it has not left the station yet. The bus driver stated that they were going to board another bus but he was still allowing passengers to board the one they were on (which should have departed at 6pm) I called the service line yet again (why I put myself through this stress is beyond me). The person, and I use this term loosely, was nothing short of clueless offering every idiotic excuse he could muster from his pre-formulated megabus excuse manual. The basics is: The megabus left hand has no clue what the megabus right hand is doing and the passengers get screwed in between the mess both hands are making. So, it is now 7:38pm and my daughter has not left the station and I have no idea if they are leaving at all, or if the bus has been cancelled. I am trying to contain my anger and pure dusgust with Megabus at this time but as a parent, it is not an easy feat.

No. You are too busy giving your unnecessary opinio n on failed bus service. Smh. As with your inconveniece of a comment, consumers are allowed to voice their likes or dislikes with a product.

It's called the 5th ammendment.

If the person felt as a parent that their experience was a disaster, who the *** are you to minimize their emotion? No one!

But wait - don't I have that same right? As a a matter of fact, I never suggested anyone had no right to complain but you did suggest I had no right to comment.

Additionally, you are probably thinking of the FIRST ammendment, the one guaranteeing the right to free speech, not the fifth. Anyway, the first ammendment doesn't apply here - it is a private website.

Again, ask the people to whom I referred - I am sure they will straighten you out on what is a disaster. Crack a book, genius.

When Akeura and Jerome arrived at the stop the driver said that their number was a scam.

After they were told that their numbers were a scam they had to return home very disappointed. I am very upset and disappointed too because I was looking forward to seeing them due to the fact that I had not seen them since the Christmas vacation. I am writing to you because I am very upset because the driver said that the numbers were a scam. Is this something that occur frequently? If this is something that occurs quite frequently will you please be willing to look into the matter for me? This is the order number that I was given by your agent (ACJFY3A). He very rude to me. I just ask for go to canley vela,but I know 817 fairfield don't go to canley vela, it has 1 more bus 817 cabramatta go to canley vela.and he angry to me and do very bed to me. I don't know why he do this I just ask I don't know I'm new here. Why he service me like this.

I take the bus not free I pay full. Very rude. He is asia he wear hat and black glass.

Our bus broke down,i had to get off the bus and cross a very busy highway,and walk three and a half blocks to get my car in a parking lot, then i had to come back to the bus to retrive my luggages.

Not willing to issue refund or change tickets for a different bus.

Had purchased tickets to Buffalo from Toronto for 6 people on January 6th 2014. Due to weather, flights were cancelled out of Buffalo.

I did not know 24 hours in advance that the flight was canceled so we remained in Toronto to wait out the storm. When I called to notify Megabus that we couldn't make the bus and find out what my options were the woman said because it was less than 24 hours in advance I would have to send an email to inquiries@***.com to get my money back. I did this several times and got the same automated response: due to volume it will take us 5 days to get back to you. This never happened and I was forced to call 3 weeks later to find out what was going on.

no one ever answers the phone and I was forced to leave messages. I finally got an email from somebody saying that due to their policy they wouldn't be giving me my money back. Because I had sent multiple emails I received multiple responses apologizing that they couldn't do anything. By the way, I had to buy new tickets a week later when we could finally get a flight out!!

Unfortunately they were the only option. To add insult to injury, we had to ride in a *** Coach Canada bus and were NOT informed of this when purchasing tickets. On the trip from Buffalo to Toronto we were forced to buy tickets on the bus because we weren't able to buy them on their site or over the phone so we had to pay cash and they didn't have change to give us!!!!! What kind of horse and pony show is this company running????

I will never use this company again! I have contacted my credit card company and they are dealing with them!!

Why do you think the fares are so cheap? You get what you paid for.

I paid $30 round trip for my father to come from New Orleans to Houston and back again. He had a pleasant trip both ways with no problems. I could have paid Grey Hound $160, but I am grateful for MegaBus and being able to save so much money. It makes it easy for him to visit back and forth.

I've booked his fares as low as $4.

I appreciate it and understand if the fares are Non-refundable as explained to us.

Refund for backwards tickets

My family and I were traveling to Pittsburgh for a funeral and my twin grand daughters 1st birthday. I needed a bus TO Pittsburgh from Washington DC before March 15th. But instead I had purchased the tickets for Pittsburgh to Washington DC. I would like a refund and my reservation number is 54/58-7213-****14-M36-0700-PIT-WAS. It is very important that I make it to Pittsburgh. My family and I will not be riding the bus, and purchasing the tickets from PA to DC was a big mistake. I need a refund so that I can purchase another ticket before the March 15th. I have been riding with megabus for awhile and I love the service, and I recommend it to all of my family and friends. Again I would LIKE AND NEED a refund.

If you need to know how, you go to Manage Reservations on their website.

You can change your reservation online as long as you are 24 hours before your departure time. Seeing as your trip is on the 13th, and today is the 11th, you can still change it, including switching the cities to what you meant to do.

You have to do this change before 7 a.m. on the 12th or you'll be locked out of your reservation.

You are going to have to contact the bus company about a refund. Complaining here won't do any good, because this is just a general complaint site.

Megabus was cancelled due to weather condition on 3/1/2014

I pray that this matter will be given full attention so that I will be completely satisfied with the outcome. My son and I didn't make the 3:00p.m. mega bus because of uncontrolled actions on aboard the Amtrak train and the mega bus was cancelled due to weather conditions and for this I am asking for a refund you can email me at Sexytee426@***.com thanks for the help. Hope I will not be disappointed. This was my first experience with mega bus and I looked forward to riding aboard your bus but, I didn't get a chance to due to unforeseen circumstances out of my control.

Place of no return

If you're interested in a combination of sweat induced and crowded travel this is the perfect place for you! My favorite parts of the experiences were when the outlets didn't work and the obnoxious amount of sites that were blocked from their wifi. Yay for no netflix ... or youtube. Not to mention I was going to stand outside for 2 hours waiting for the bus in DC at 6:30 am when it was 30 degrees outside. And lets not forget that they sold my ticket to someone else when I arrived on time for the bus. Goodness gracious... never again.

Very bad website and customer service

I was trying to call their customer service to trade in one of my reservations of 3 journeys scheduled for this weekend for future travel credit. I called 10 times and no one is answering the phone and i was waiting on the phone for more than 10minutes each time but didn't hear anything except for music. If some receptionist is busy with other customers at least they can answer the phone first and ask me if i could hold. This is all the other customer services do so that I will know I'm not waiting for no one. I called because i can never put my reservation credit on hold through their so-called "manage reservation" operation on their website. There is only a "cancel (amendment)" button but no "confirm". Seriously???? Is this how "manage reservation" is supposed to be? That customers can only cancel their intent to change their reservation? And I even tried to create an account, in the hope that i can change my reservation after I create an account. And guess what, they dont have a way for me to add previous reservations to my new account to manage it! I either have to struggle with "you have no reservations" and only a "buy more reservations" button or log out and input my confirmation number and repeat the unavailability as I mentioned in the previous paragraph. WORSE STILL, because of this register, my reservation was ALL MESSED UP that I cannot select all of the 3 journeys together by any means! Apparently the previous intent to change my reservations got messed up by this register/not register thing, and I have no idea where my deserved travel credit had gone. This is the worst website design and worst customer service line I have ever experienced. And watch, they are going to put it on my fault if I cannot change my reservation 24 hours before my scheduled trip. But there's simply no one getting back to me or answering the phone! How can I manage my reservation before my scheduled trip! I need to cancel my reservation!!!!!! I need my deserved $65 travel credit for future travel!!!!!

Dangerous tire blowout on Atlanta Highway!!with all those lanes..Drivers still drives bus for 20min..speeding and never stops until bus get to destination!!!!!!

Dear Mega bus: I am just so dissapointed that your company does not care nothing about your customers life, emotional state or nothing. Just xmas eve2013 you just rip me for my trip going back to jax from atlanta..your driver was late!!!!!getting off exits at two different stops!!!

chatanooga and downtown atl...instead he kept riding and went pass downtown and drove to jonesboros ,georgia.....y i dont know!!!! that was not my fault... bringing us to our destination to transfer for us to go home... I missed my wages at work...me and my family had to spend the night in a very cold but dangerous city full of thugs and strangers ...

I cried and was so hurt in dis belief on every response i reciecve from any of your workers....that i talked to i felt bad for my disabled mother and young daughter because i knew that this is you guys fault..!!!!!.how can you not have bend your policy for the disabled...my mom did not need to be out in the cold..she had medication that she need to take that morning ...so sad!!!! Im just so angry!!!!and most all your customer services are cruel and some of bus drivers and attendants...especially the ones in downtown atlanta...its a mean *** black girl that walks thru there talking to people like she is God him self! She know who she is..!! she threatens people constantly to move cars and she is a wolf!...

ATL......is...a place we are not from!!!...all of us were scared and crying...and confused...and you did not have room for us on the next bus the same day hours later...!!!!!Now come on....then iam just finding out finally..because im on face book that you partially refunded me for ..the trauma taking another chance to ride with you again after going thru a horrible ordeal of being transported on a speeding bus with a tire blowout!!!on a 8 or more lanes highway with lots of speeding traffic at 535 in the morning that refused to pull over for the saftey of your pedestrains...that happened to me and my same family members in sept2013...You only paid reimbursed 20.50 back to me for a blow out !!listen...thank god for angels...but a partial refund is not sufficient for me ! my family members were all terrified on that day...and then you refunded 11.00 for the other reservations...the mayor in my home town and knoxville will get a letter from me..because no one should ever get treated like this...There is no way that you have reguard for human life the only thing you want is to dog people and make them feel like you doing them a favor with cheap rates!!!!...mega bus you almost killed us on twice...tire blow out!!! and making us spend the night in a town that ws freezing cold as helllll!!!!!!!!!!!
